Jesus at the Movies
課程介紹

This course pairs two topics: (1) the life of Jesus as told in the four gospels and (2) film versions as recorded by international film makers. These include films like Intolerance (1916), Ben-Hur (1959), The Greatest Story Every Told (1965), Jesus Christ Superstar (1973), Godspell (1973), Monty Python’s Life of Brian (1979), The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), Jesus of Montreal (1989), The Gospel of John (2003), The Passion of the Christ (2004), and The Chosen (2017--). Some, but not all, of the movies are subtitled. In each class we will spend one section on a gospel piece and one section watching part of a movie. This class is intended for English students of all levels.
本課程有兩個主題： (1) 四本福音書中講述的耶穌生平和(2) 國際電影製作人記錄的電影版本。這些電影包括《忍無可忍》（1916年）、《賓漢》（1959年）、《萬世流芳》（1965年）、《萬世巨星》（1973年）、《福音》（1973年）、《萬世魔星》或譯《布萊恩的一生》（1979年）、《基督的最後誘惑》（1988年）、《蒙特婁的耶穌》（1989年）、《約翰福音》（2003年）、《基督受難記》（2004年）和《上帝所揀選的人》（2017-）。 部分電影都有字幕。在每堂課上，我們將用一節課來學習福音書的內容，一節課來觀看電影部分。這門課適用於所有級別的英語學生。
